I started on my pottery journey when I was 10 years old, with the master potter, Chris Prindl. It was from Chris’ lessons that I built the foundations of my ceramic style, focussing mainly on wheel throwing techniques. Over the next 10 years, I was able to build my own pottery studio on my family farm in the beautiful countryside near Fowey, Cornwall, inspiring the name, The Cornish Potter. In 2019, I was lucky enough to get a space on The Great Pottery Throwdown, in the industrial home of ceramics, Stoke-on-Trent. Here I met a selection of inspiring potters and was faced with many exciting challenges that encouraged me to develop my ceramic skills. In 2020, I moved out of my pottery studio in Cornwall and headed to the vibrant city of Bristol to start a new chapter. I am currently based at a co-operative mixed media studio called Inbristol LTD.

My work consists of a range of pit-fired ornamental profiles, containing earthy tones and a variety of colours. My forms consist of vases, and ergonomic mugs with minimalistic designs and curves. Pit-fired stoneware pottery is my favourite style, with unpredictable and beautiful variations in colour from every firing. I enjoy working collaboratively to bring a client’s vision to life and am open to commissions. All commission proposals should be sent via email or direct message on Instagram.
